Custom Artwork
Custom fine art orders are now open.
How it works:
- Browse my portfolio to get visually acquainted with my work!
- Contact me to begin your free custom artwork consultation. This is where we will chat about how to make that perfect art piece just for you.
- After we have settled on a design, size and your shipping location I will create a custom listing for you on Etsy where you can check out with ease! Production will start when payment is received. It usually takes about 7-10 business days for me to create your special piece and get it in the mail for you (if this is going to be different due to workload or materials availability I will discuss with you during your consultation.)
Ok so your heart is set on an “Austyn Original” (as my Momma says)! Here are some things to consider, and if you are stuck on any of these I am happy to offer my opinion.
Lifeline Paintings
- Do you have a line in mind that you want to represent? The most literal lines can come from a mapped road trip or a photograph you have of a person, place or thing. More abstract lines can come from an idea or maybe just a feeling.
- Color Palette – This can be specific (ex: maroon interjected with bright orange and burnt umber) or more general (ex: shades of blue) or come from a source you send to me (a photograph, something you’ve seen online before that you like, picture of a space where you want the piece to live.)
- Size
- Matting and Framing Options
Leafline Paintings
- Leafline availability depends largely on which leaves I already have pressed and ready for painting. If you see a type of leaf you love but it is not in stock, I can absolutely go find one and press it just for you! Depending on the size this may add at least 3 weeks to the turnaround time to go through the pressing process.
- You may also provide your own leaf to me! If you want to go with this option, I will explain the best way to press a leaf once we start your consultation and you can snail-mail it to me.
- Design: I typically go with two different painting methods – highlighting the veins of the leaf or circling an imperfection, and I usually fit the pattern into boundaries on the leaf or geometric stencils (circles, triangles, stripes etc.) I also sometimes use clusters of leaves and cut them to use the negative white space to create the lines.
- Size depends largely on the type of leaf.
Framing options:
None – artwork will ship wrapped in archival tissue, plastic and between two pieces of rigid board, safe and snug.
Float Mount (available for watercolor paintings only) – Artwork will come float mounted on an appropriately sized rigid board, ready for framing.
Matted – Artwork will come mounted behind a custom cut white mat, ready for framing.
Framed – (Not available for international orders)
– Float mount – shadow box frame
– Matted – normal frame
*Frames larger than 8″x10″ will include Plexiglass only due to shipping regulations. If you prefer the look of real glass, replacements for standard sizes can easily be found at your local craft or framing store.
*Ask me about my frame collection. For smaller pieces, I have a variety of vintage or unique frames I’ve found that I love to match with pieces.
